The capstone project to my Bachelor degree, with a brief that outlined the need for a ‘post-labour’ university situated north of the new Barangaroo tower, allowing the personal clarification of a ‘post-labour’ world and designing accordingly, with a ‘Frankensteinian’ physical form relating to the individual studio idea. The idea that time as a productive construct would be ‘hacked’ or changed in a post labour world was the main basis of the project, as cornerstones of the current labour world, such as the production line (east on plan), are changed so that productivity and efficiency are no longer the main goal. The design also connects Sydney Harbour with the CBD, a connection that is often overlooked with most waterfront proposals pertaining to the CBD.
